Linnet Baroque

Linnet Baroque was formed in late 2022 by a collective of established Baroque specialist musicians wishing to explore rarely performed music from the English baroque and early classical eras. Their journey has lead them to explore settings of this repertoire in 18C London, bringing to life the associations of the composers to each other and to their performers.

Following on from a highly successful Christmas engagement at the Grade1 listed Forty Hall Estate in Enfield, we are delighted to announce that we have been appointed as their Musicians-in-Residence for 2024. Linnet Baroque will be presenting innovative nature-themed programmes in the Jacobean Long Gallery, featuring music written for the courts and domestic music-making, including 18th C British folk-song arrangements.
