Grace Scott Deuchar

Oboe, Recorder
Grace Scott Deuchar

Grace recently graduated with Distinction from an MA in historical performance at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied baroque oboe with Katharina Spreckelsen and recorders with Anna Stegmann.

She freelances with a number of leading UK-based period-instrument ensembles, including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Academy of Ancient Music, Florilegium and the Hanover Band. She plays regularly with Noxwode, and loves working with singers to explore how the oboe can be used to compliment and contrast the sound of the voice.

In addition to performing, Grace is a strong advocate for music education and currently leads the Learning and Communities department at Handel Hendrix House.
