Miriam Nohl

Cello, Viola da Gamba

Northumbrian cellist and viola da gamba player, Miriam Nohl, was an undergraduate at York University before she completed a Masters at the Royal Academy of Music. Miriam graduated in 2019 and has since been enjoying playing for numerous Early Music groups across the UK such as Instruments of Time and Truth, and further afield at the DAVOS international festival in Switzerland! A recent highlight for Miriam was performing in the La Nuova Musica performance of Dido and Aeneas at the BBC proms over the Summer. As well as playing a variety of period bass instruments, Miriam teaches strings for the Music in Secondary Schools charity, and is currently on the Live Music Now scheme where she performs in care homes and schools.
