William Russell is a freelance trumpet player and educator based in London. After studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Norwegian Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, William performs on period instruments with ensembles including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Les Talens Lyriques, English Concert, Gabrieli Consort and Vox Luminis.

He is a founder member of Baroque ensemble Spiritato.
