William Summers

Flute, Recorder, Woodwind

Crumhorns have always intrigued me as the [slightly spurious] iconic Renaissance instrument which fascinates audiences at concerts and gigs. Its limitations are a spur to invention, and its focused tone lends strength to phrasing and the resolution of dissonances. My other main instruments are flute and recorder, and I run regular concerts of early music in historical venues as well as playing in orchestras, playing in bands and appearing in films.
