Tercia Realidad

Inspired by the 16th century Cervantine term, "Tercia Naturaleza", which reveals a third reality in which fantasy and the real world meet and merge. Tercia Realidad is a utopia directed by Jorge Jiménez in which music goes back to its origins as a language to express emotions and feelings, as well as a fusion of personalities, ideas and sounds.

Tercia Realidad not only performs, but also creates on the fly, which makes the presentation a unique experience for the audience and the musicians. Covering a repertoire ranging from the 13th century to contemporary music, TR has performed at festivals and such as: Misteria Paschalia (Poland), Early Music Festival in Stary Sacz (Poland), Early Music Festival in Utrecht, Baroque Days Akbank Sanat in Istanbul (Turkey), Nights in the Alcázar Gardens in Seville (Spain), Colegio de los Ingleses de Valladolid (Spain), Bachfest Cochabamba (Bolivia), music season at the Bogazici University in Istanbul (Turkey), Sacred Music Festival of Sagunt (Spain), chamber music season of the Convent of Santa Clara in Seville (Spain) and Varazdin Baroque Evenings (Croatia) among others. Tercia Realidad's recording debut was for Atlantic Records, together with The Joy Formidable.

Tercia Realidad has won the Sello Festclasica 2023 Award for the most innovative programme and will be performing "El Violín de Farinelli" in 12 of the most important festivals in Spain through 2023.

Its director, Jorge Jiménez is one of the most sought after violinists of our days. He is known for his meticulous and exciting approach to performing music in the style and instruments for which it was composed, from the Middle Ages to the 21st century.

Apart from being the founder and director of Tercia Realidad, Jorge is concertmaster of groups such as: Forma Antiqva (Spain), La Arpeggiata (France), the Vauxhall Band, The Hanover Band and Laudonia Ensemble (United Kingdom), La Risonanza (Italy), Capella Cracoviensis (Poland)
