The Forgotten Scarlatti
Combining the splendid choral grandeur of Bach and Handel with the ornate complexity of Gabrielli and Tallis, this programme of Francesco Scarlatti’s rarely performed masterpieces is not to be missed. Hidden in the Bodleian Library for hundreds of years, these masterpieces are once again brought to life by the Armonico Consort, directed by Christopher Monks, in new editions by Dr Geoffrey Webber.
