Robin Bigwood (Of Feinstein Ensemble)
Bach Weekend: The Harpsichord Partitas

The six harpsichord partitas are probably the best and certainly the most technically demanding of Bach’s many works for keyboard. Free ranging in structure, each Partita opens with a prelude followed by a series of dance movements containing some of the most marvellous keyboard music ever written.

Robin Bigwood has a seemingly limitless technical mastery of all keyboard instruments and is equally at home on harpsichords, church organs or Moog synthesisers.

Pieces:
Partita for Harpsichord No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826
Partita for Harpsichord No. 5 in G, BWV 829
