Brook Street Band

Friendship and Flowers

Friendship and Flowers
The Brook Street Band (Rachel Harris - violin, Tatty Theo - cello, Carolyn Gibley – harpsichord), performs music by Telemann and Handel, close friends, both avid letter-writers and amateur botanists, who also happened to be two of the most celebrated German and English baroque composers. To compliment this rich music scene of Hamburg and London, BSB will also showcase the music of East Anglian composer Joseph Gibbs, providing valuable insight into musical tastes away from the big city salons, highlighting what was popular in Norfolk and Suffolk in the mid-18th century.
