Heinrich Schütz - A German in Venice

David de Winter (tenor)
Heinrich Schütz - A German in Venice

A concert of dazzling vocal and instrumental music by Schütz, Monteverdi, Cavalli, Grandi, Sances & Rossi, inspired by the city of Venice.

Baroque specialists The Brook Street Band and tenor David de Winter join forces for a concert of dazzling music inspired by the city of Venice. Following on from the recent release of their critically acclaimed album "Heinrich Schütz - A German in Venice" (which was kindly supported by the Continuo Foundation), they perform sublime music from the likes of Monteverdi, Cavalli, Grandi, Sances and Rossi, as well as the man the city inspired - Heinrich Schütz. Be transported back in time almost 400 years to experience some of the finest early baroque music ever written.

David de Winter (tenor), Rachel Harris & Kathryn Parry (violin), Lisete da Silva Bull & Emily Bannister (recorder), Tatty Theo (cello), Lynda Sayce (lute and theorbo), Carolyn Gibley (harpsichord)
