Full Event Details
Nick Pritchard's residency at Temple Music opens with perhaps the best-known of Schubert’s song cycles. Die schöne Müllerin tells the tale of a young lad stepping out into the world full of optimism, only to meet with bitter disappointment when the beautiful miller’s daughter fails even to notice him. Heartbroken, he is ultimately driven to despair, and Schubert mirrors every step of his gradual mental descent in some of his finest music.
