Viols & Voice - Donne in Love
The wonderfully expressive viola da gamba duo, Intesa, return to 38 St Giles Chapel for a recital dedicated to the work of the great English poet, John Donne. The recital is designed like a baroque suite, with spoken and sung renderings of Donne’s greatest love poetry interspersed with viol music by his English and Italian contemporaries.
