Dowland Consort Music

The so-called 'broken consort', consisting of lute, flute, cittern, bandora, fiddle and bass viol, was one of the fashionable sounds of Dowland's England, for which he himself composed. This very beautiful and subtle music is a landmark in the history of European music – the first music published in instrument-specific parts to achieve the composers' specific timbral intentions.

The band Fleet Street Revival hasn't come to England before, so don't miss their debut at the Dowland 400 Festival, at the Octagon Chapel in Norwich.
