Society and culture has changed but the essence and patterns of life remain the same, influencing music, literature and all human endeavour. Representing a life cycle, the programme is divided into 4 parts with music inspired by birth; family; love and death by composers including Orlando Gibbons, William Byrd, Bela Bartok and Maurice Ravel.
