Saraband and The Opera Company explore the drama, gesture and emotion of french music of the early 18th century. Guido Martin Brandis will stage the show revealing the two Cantatas as the miniature operas they are. With instrumental pieces linking the dramas we will take the audience from the pain of love and loss to the liberation of a shepherd’s faithful and simple love in Rameau’s ‘Berger Fidèle.
