Concert with narrations celebrating William Hogarth, his art, vision and inspiration for Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, the Foundling Hospital and musical connections with George Frideric Handel and his art collection.

Music performed by our new LEO choir, with Charles MacDougall directed by Bridget Cunningham and narrations from BBC's Lars Tharp, Hogarth enthusiast and ceramics historian.

The Corney Road Cemetry at St Nicholas Church by the River Thames is the resting place of the artist William Hogarth. His grave stone reads:

"Farewell great Painter of Mankind, Who reach'd the noblest point of Art Whose pictur'd Morals charm the Mind , And through the Eye correct the Heart. If Genius fire thee, Reader, stay, If Nature touch thee, drop a Tear: If neither move thee, turn away, For Hogarth's honour'd dust lies here".
