Le Foyer des Artistes open Season Three in celebration of Bach's 340th anniversary with three of his most celebrated Brandenburg Concertos

Internationally-acclaimed Irish Soprano Anna Devin and harpsichordist Malcolm Proud join Le Foyer des Artistes for the opening of their third season.

Anna is widely admired for her impeccable Baroque style and vocal control…artistry and musico-dramatic intelligence. Her voice is variously described as sumptuous, flexible, silvery-toned, crystal and spine-tingling. Born in Dublin, Anna Devin sings regularly at the world’s leading opera houses including Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Opernhaus Zurich, Glyndebourne Festival and Teatro Real Madrid. She is known for her interpretation of leading ladies, notably Clotilde (Handel's Faramondo), for which she won a Helpmann Award, Semele (Handel's Semele) - "sparkling like the best champagne", Cleopatra (Handel's Giulio Cesare) - “one of the finest London has heard”, Susanna (Mozart Le Nozze di Figaro) - “the Susanna of your dreams”.

Malcolm is one of Ireland’s most distinguished musicians and has enjoyed an international performing career which has spanned four decades. Highlights include playing all six Brandenburg Concertos with Sir John Eliot Gardiner’s English Baroque Soloists at the BBC London Proms and the Schleswig-Holstein Festival. He has worked with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Academy of Ancient Music, European Union Baroque Orchestra and Akademie für alte Musik Berlin. He also toured Japan in a production of Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Mark Padmore in the lead role.

Programme
Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major, BWV 104
3 Arias for Soprano from Handel’s Amadigi di Gaula
Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G major, BWV 1049
