St John Passion BWV 245

The London Handel Festival’s liturgical presentation of Bach’s Passions is one of the great musical highlights of Easter in London. Good Friday 2024 marks the 300th anniversary of the first performance of Bach’s St John Passion.

To mark this anniversary, the Choir of St George’s, Hanover Square and London Handel Orchestra present this profound and moving work on Good Friday for the first time in over 15 years. St George’s Musical Director Richard Gowers makes his London Handel Festival directing debut with this remarkable presentation featuring a wonderful line-up of soloists, all of whom have previously been prize winners of the International Handel Singing Competition.
