An uplifting selection of vocal and instrumental works... Soprano Jane Burnell makes a welcome return, singing Bach’s Cantata 51, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, alongside vocal music by Handel and Alessandro Scarlatti, all complemented by Telemann’s Concerto for three violins and Vivaldi’s boisterous Concerto alla Rustica.

We’re delighted to announce that Liverpool String Academy, part of the charity Early Music As Education, will give a pre-concert performance at 6.45pm. Liverpool String Academy Orchestra is made up of children with a particular passion for historical performance. Earlier this year, we worked with Liverpool Academy in a side-by-side workshop (supported by a Continuo Foundation grant), and were so impressed - and we’re sure you will be too! Do join us when our doors open at 6.30pm, grab a drink from the bar, and enjoy music by Handel and Lully, performed by some early-music stars of the future!
