CURATED BY ELIZABETH KENNY | FIRST PUBLISHED 30 MAY 2026
Elizabeth Kenny is one of Europe’s leading lutenists. Her playing has been described as ‘incandescent’ (Music and Vision), ‘radical’ (The Independent on Sunday) and ‘indecently beautiful’ (Toronto Post). To accompany our feature interview, she has specially curated a playlist for Continuo Connect.
She shares the recordings that she most admires by some of the giants of the Early Music world including Continuo Patrons Dame Emma Kirkby and Rachel Podger, and lutenists Julian Bream, Anthony Rooley and Nigel North. Also included are favourite tracks from Kenny's own extensive discography. We hope you enjoy listening to this captivating array of tracks from Purcell to Piccinini, JS Bach to Benjamin Oliver, and much more.
