Lilium Convallium
Lilium Convallium was founded in 2019 by conductor Vicente Chavarría and is composed of current and former students at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London. The ensemble gave its début in the spring of that same year in a showcase of French Baroque music.
Their current formation—a trio sonata plus a tenor—gives them the flexibility to explore repertoire from across the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Lilium has participated in Brighton Early Music Festival's BREMF Live! scheme and regularly performs around London and the UK.
