Baroque ConneXion
Founded in 2018 by the international violinist Asuka Sumi, Otley Baroque provides the finest live concerts with both renowned and up-and-coming musicians across the UK.

In January, Otley Baroque welcomes Leeds-born Cornetto player Nicholas Emmerson and two young talents from London to present a program of Venetian baroque music from the time of Monteverdi, played on historical instruments. It will be the first appearance of Nick since returning to his hometown after a successful career in the Netherlands and Germany.

We are also excited to invite Pablo and Matthew from the emerging Bellot Ensemble in London who have been chosen for BREMF Live and as the finalist of the Goettingen Handel Competition.

It will be an unmissable evening as these talents converge in the discovery of exhilarating Italian baroque music which traces its origin from folkloric tunes to Mediterranean dances.

Music by Monteverdi, Biagio Marini, Tarquinio Merula, Giovanni Battista Buonamente and Giovanni Legrenzi.
