Written for spatially separated choirs, the effect in St George’s will be enhanced by four special doubling choirs around the entire audience. Reviews of I Fagiolini’s new Benevoli recordings speak of “the variety, splendour and beauty of Roman Baroque music” (BBC Music Magazine) and “Sonic bliss… awash in gloriousness… like Italian sunshine… musical magic” (Gramophone).
