About

The Bristol Early Music Festival first took place in 2019, and aims to provide opportunities for exploring music from Medieval to early Baroque, and for contemporary audiences to hear it performed. The three-day festival features internationally renowned performers, with the chance for local singers and players to participate in workshops led by experts in their field. Notable this year are events for people who sing by ear, or don't read music well, to explore songs from the Middle Ages, and the chance for pianists to meet and make friends with the harpsichord under expert tuition. Young musicians are particularly welcome, and accompanied under-16s enjoy free entry to all concerts and workshops.
