About
Music in Country Churches curates a concert series in rural churches across the British countryside. The series runs each year from late May to late July.
The charity aims to support the arts, culture, and historical heritage of countryside communities. Following each concert, a donation is made to the church to help with maintaining the building and carrying out essential repairs. Since it began, Music in Country Churches has made donations to more than 60 country churches, distributing £620,000 to support the maintenance work needed on church buildings.
Music in Country Churches was set up in 1989 with the active support of the Prince of Wales, who, as His Majesty the King, remains the charity's Patron.
We are always delighted to welcome new followers and audiences. We are equally interested to hear from churches (in any region of the UK) that would like to host a concert, and we welcome proposals from musicians and ensembles. Please see our website for more details.
