About

The Georgian Concert Society is dedicated to the promotion of historically informed performances of the highest standard on period instruments. Past artists include Chelys Consort of Viols, Florilegium, La Serenissima, London Handel Players, Apollo's Cabinet, Bach Players, Sofie Vanden Eynde, London Haydn Quartet, The Marian Consort, and His Majesty's Sackbutts and Cornetts to name a few.

Concerts take place at St Cecilia’s Hall, the oldest purpose-built concert hall in Scotland, and Edinburgh New Town Church. Groups performing here as part of our series are fortunate to be able to play keyboard instruments from the University of Edinburgh's collection.
